Lindsay Reed Maines

Lindsay Reed Maines is a writer, teacher, and social media consultant. Her clients range from first time authors to Fortune 500 entertainment companies, but the common thread is they’re all trying to learn how to operate successfully in the brave new world of social media, while being true to their brand and premise.

Lindsay’s background in print journalism and experience in business-to-business marketing creates a unique skill set. She learns intensely about each client’s market position and industry, and doesn’t make one size fits all recommendations based on common wisdom.

Her print work’s appeared in The Washington Post and Brain,Child Magazine, and is forthcoming in Redbook. She’s spoken at Jeff Pulver’s Social Communication Summit and #140Conf on digital moms and their influence, and is in the process of selling her first non-fiction book, “Rock and Roll Mamas”, about moms keeping their identity post- baby. It’s a topic near and dear, as her husband plays bass for a rock band that tours internationally six- nine months of the year, and they have three children.

She blogs regularly at www.rockandrollmama.com, and is the “Just For Fun” editor of www.lifetimemoms.com. (A division of Lifetime Digital.) Her favorite thing about social media: knowing she’s not the only one up at 3 am.
